WORD FROM THE ASSISTANT VICAR;

Welcome to our site!!!! My name is The Rev. Shem Nelson Nsubuga, and it is my joy to serve as the Assistant Vicar of St. Andrew’s Bukoto Church of Uganda. Since my coming to this Church, I have held the title of Presence. Someone told me that I hold the “Ministry of Presence” because I avail myself to all who need the service here at Church or elsewhere.

I am a member of Father’s Union without side-lining the Mother’s Union and Christian Women’s Fellowship. Besides being a permanent member of the Tuesday Brethren Fellowship, I also fellowship with Runyakitara service, especially when conducting Holy Communion.

I have served in small daughter Churches, Sub parishes, Archdeaconry headquarters and Diocesan offices. Each of them has their unique lifestyle and the way they treat their ministers. Currently I am in charge of Kampala Community Chapel, in Kamwokya (a daughter Church to St. Andrew’s Bukoto)

During my tenure of service in a variety of Churches, I have learnt that The God we serve is so patient with us and always forgiving.

At St. Andrew’s, am in charge of Initiations; Teaching Christians about baptism and confirmation. Surely, they never remain the same especially in areas of Evangelism & Discipleship. Many, have become ministers in the Church; I thank God for them. I also do pre- marital counseling.

If you are new to the area or looking for a spiritual home, I’d love to meet you. Please join us every Sunday, or feel free to reach out to me.

At St. Andrew’s, WE ARE FISHERS OF MEN!!!

Rev. Shem Nelson Nsubuga, Assistant Vicar,
