UNDERSTANDING TIMES AND SEASONS

READING: 1John1:1-10
Isaiah 43:19 says,“Behold,I will do a new thing, now it’s hall springforth; Shall you not know it I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

As we have started the new year, let us understand who the master is. Who is the master of every new thing?Who is this Lord who started something within us from nothing? We receive many blessings like cars, children e.t.c but the one who started these blessings we get in the spiritual realm is God.

God started everything as in Genesis 1.

Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”

What is it that you have seen the Lord do before that you want Him to do again? What have you heard about the Lord? God is the Lord of new seasons. What have you toucheds of arthat the Lord has blessed you with? God desires that we seek Him more. May the Lord guide us to seek Him deeper.

We need to be able to understand God’s timing and season. What is that rhema word that the Lord has given you? What are you looking forward for God to do for you this year? What do you wish to touch? If we are to look out for this season, let us look for life and life
eternal and also to know God more.

Genesis 1:14-18, God setup signs for us to understand seasons and time. The sun is to rule by day and the moon is to rule by night. What is the Lord speaking to us regarding these signs? We are in a new season. If we check the sun, it is getting hotter and hotter. What season are we in?In this new year, may God help us understand these a sons and times and may we not miss them.

Time is eternal. Can we understand our Lord more and more? What have you picked out that can make you a better person this year?

Daniel 2:20-23, What is that vision that the Lord has put before you at the start of the year God changes times and seasons and is the controller of everything. If we don’t understand these as on sand times, we might end up doing our own will.

What does God want us to change? What is the Lord telling us to change from Is God asking you to start a new company? Is the Lord asking you to change your prayer time and patterns?

Numbers 28:11 says, “At the beginnings of your months you shall present a burnt offering to the LORD: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish.” These people offered to the Lord at the beginning of a season. We need to tap into our offerings. Is the Lord telling us to increase on our knowledge and know Him more and more?

We need to also tithe our prayer time for the Lord. How much are we investing in this new season to understand the Lord? May God help us to understand His seasons. We need to align our hearts to God’s will. If we don’t invest our time to understand the Lord, we may have knowledge in what we do but not in the Lord. We need to understand the Lord better.

We need to go deeper and inquire of the Lord even regarding our partners for those who are desiring marriage. Maybe God wants you to change your destination. What is the Lord calling us todo? Can we do certain things intentionally to tap into God’s heart? What have you seen other people touch because God can do it for you. May God help us understand Him more and may we open our hearts to understand this season and also may we be fertile ground for His word that His will can be done.

Psalm 102:13 says, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.” This is also a time of God’s visitation. God’s time is totally different from man’s time.

Deuteronomy 6:20-25, This could be a season of us coming out of  bondage, coming out of Egypt, greed, laziness, wicked ways etc. Let us purpose to seek God more.

Leviticus 18:3-29, Let us not defile ourselves with the actions of the heathen. It is the Lord of life that we seeking for.

1John 1:2 says, “the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us.”

God is guiding us in this season to be very focused on Him. Let us fellowship with one another. May God help us take away the darkness in this season. Let us separate ourselves from those who like the darkness. If we have fellowship with the Lord and walk in darkness, then we are liars.

Let us be purposeful this year to walk in the light and have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us from all sin. May we get rid of lies, hypocrisy, back biting etc because God wants us to be new creations. May we clear and get rid of the bushes and weeds and prepare our hearts for a good planting ground. May we use this season to confess our sins to the Lord.

Philippians 3:10 says,“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death ”May we know Christ and the power of His resurrection.
It is God to resurrect us with our children and families.

The more we love Christ than the earthly things, the more we know God. May we not narrow God down in this season but may we know God more. Unless we know who has the power to change the times and season, we may miss the entire season and that is catastrophic.

May we align ourselves in to what God is speaking in this season. Let us be repentant sinners daily. We sin daily in our thoughts, speech and actions and so we need to keep repenting. Let us seek God more even in repentance.
